How It Works

Step 1: Consultation and blood drawing

Your treatment begins with an expert consultation. During this process, your provider will draw your blood.

Step 2: Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) creation

Your blood is then spun in a centrifuge—a device that separates platelets within the plasma from other elements of the blood—to extract the platelets for your injections.

Step 3: Plasma injections

The scalp is cleansed and topical numbing is applied prior to your provider artfully injecting the plasma into the scalp to stimulate the growth of new hair.

Step 4: Enjoy the benefits

Most patients see visible results in new hair growth or increased volume overall within a few months.

ABOUT PRP HAIR RESTORATION

PRP Hair Restoration is a recommended treatment for those experiencing hair thinning and hair loss. Schedule a complimentary consultation to see if you’re an ideal candidate.

The results aren’t permanent but they typically last between 1.5-2 years. You’re likely to see the longest lasting results if you schedule recommended maintenance sessions every 4-6 months after your initial treatment series for optimal results.

The scalp is a sensitive area, so a slight stinging sensation at the injection site should be expected. However, most clients describe this feeling as a mildly uncomfortable “pinching.”

It is slightly uncomfortable, however, we provide topical numbing cream to keep your treatment as comfortable as possible. Most people describe the treatment as quick little pinches that alleviate quickly. 

You may experience some swelling or tenderness for up to 24 hours following your treatment. Tylenol can help reduce any pain or discomfort.
PRP Hair Restoration takes about 60 minutes.
PRP Hair Restoration pairs perfectly with Hydrafacial Keravive treatments since they help boost scalp & follicle health to encourage healthier hair. You can alternate between the two treatments to achieve the best results.
Avoid strenuous exercise or any other activities that make you sweat for a few days following your treatment.
You can color or chemically treat your hair after waiting at least 72 hours after your treatment. During this initial 72 hour period, avoid all hair products, including dyes, gels, creams, etc.
You will need to avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your treatment and Aspirin and NSAIDs (Motrin, Advil, Aleve) for 3 days prior as they can make you more susceptible to bruising.

After your appointment, avoid direct sunlight for 48 hours and wear a head covering when outside. Refrain from washing your hair for 6 hours after receiving your treatment and avoid lying down for 4 hours after to prevent swelling.
