How It Works

Step 1: Skin Analysis & Prepping

Your service begins with an expert skin analysis to ensure we achieve the best possible results with the peel. The skin is then cleansed and wiped off before the chemical peel is applied.

Step 2: Chemical Peel

Chemical peel is then applied. A tingling sensation ensues which dissipates in a few minutes. Depending on the type of peel used, you may leave with it on or it may be wiped off after a certain amount of time.

Step 3: Peeling

Your skin may begin peeling as soon as 24 hours after your appointment and often continues for 7-10 days. It’s essential to avoid picking and let the skin peel naturally.

Step 4: Enjoy the benefits

The unique blend of ingredients in the chemical peel will work to uncover a fresh layer of glowing skin, helping to address common concerns such as scarring, acne & blemishes, hyperpigmentation, and more! You’ll enjoy a more even skin tone and texture and feel refreshed and rejuvenated.

Questions

ABOUT CHEMICAL PEELS

Chemical peels are safe for all skin types and tones and work best for those looking to treat acne scarring, active breakouts, hyperpigmentation, and melasma.

You may feel a slight tingling sensation throughout the application but treatment is generally comfortable.
The entire appointment should last around 20 minutes.
The number of peels you need will vary based on your specific goals and unique skin situation. We generally recommend 3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart but additional sessions may be advised during your consultation.
You’ll experience peeling for the following 5 – 7 days. You will need to limit your sun exposure for 2 weeks following your peel. After your skin is finished peeling, your complexion will be healthier & more radiant!
We love pairing Botox & light laser treatments with chemical peels. They help provide a boost to the results seen from the peel, and you can receive both treatments on the same day.
Avoid strenuous exercise or any other activities that make you sweat for a few days following your treatment.
You can begin applying makeup 24 hours after your treatment.
Stop retinol use and exfoliating active ingredients (ingredients in your skincare that cause physical or chemical exfoliation, like scrubs) until after your skin has completely finished peeling. You should continue to use cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF following your treatment. A more in-depth ideal skincare routine will be discussed throughout your consultation.
We don’t recommend getting a chemical peel if you have particularly sensitive skin. We offer other treatments that are better suited for sensitive skin, so please reach out if you have any questions.
You will need to avoid self-tanners, exfoliating active ingredients, face masks, and prescription skincare products for 5 days before your treatment. You will also need to limit direct sun exposure for 72 hours before your appointment and wear SPF every day leading up to it. Finally, please note that we cannot treat you if you are sunburned, so take all necessary precautions knowing your unique skin.
