Dr. Marie Hayag stands at the forefront of Modern Dermatology, a passionate physician whose expertise and dedication is leaving an indelible mark on the field. Founder and Medical Director of Fifth Avenue Aesthetics, she has served her patients for over twenty years with a steadfast commitment to excellence and constant education in all things related to aesthetics.
Dr. Hayag has longed desired to make cutting-edge, high- end skin treatments, delivered by expertly trained practitioners, accessible to everyone. This journey brought her to her newest innovation, FABrx Studio. Different from any other experience in the cosmetic dermatology and wellness space, FABrx Studio’s board-certified providers not only have years of experience but have undergone an extensive and rigorous fellowship under Dr. Hayag. Michelle McFarland, FNP-C, is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in aesthetic dermatology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with distinguished honors from the University of Arizona, where she was selected as the keynote speaker to address her graduating class. Michelle then obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from The George Washington University, graduating with distinguished honors as the single recipient of multiple awards, including The Nurse Practitioner Community Service Award and The Clinical Nursing Excellence Award.
A native of Arizona, Michelle understands firsthand the impact of sun exposure on skin health, shaping her preventive approach to skincare. With over a decade of nursing experience spanning diverse fields including medical dermatology at Memorial Sloan Cancer Center and aesthetic medicine, Michelle is known for her warm bedside manner and her keen eye for enhancing one’s natural beauty.

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys traveling, trying new workout classes, and baking at home.
Halle Smith, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant who has been in the dermatology field since 2018. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Halle graduated from Penn State University with her Bachelor of Science in Biobehavioral Health and a minor in Global Health. She then went on to obtain her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston, graduating Summa Cum Laude and in the top 10% of her class. She served as the keynote speaker at her graduation and was inducted into the Pi Alpha Honor Society and Alpha Eta Honor Society. During her PA training she rotated in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology, as well as was selected for a highly competitive clerkship at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where she spent time training in their Dermatology Oncology and Melanoma departments. She is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and is currently completing their rigorous Diplomate Fellowship, the highest level of training a PA can achieve in dermatology.
Halle believes in comprehensive, educational patient care and is passionate about developing treatment plans that address the skin and aesthetics from all facets. She enjoys employing her empathetic bedside manner to collaborate with patients so they feel empowered and can lead as their most confident selves. Outside of work Halle enjoys running, photography, and spending time with her dog, Stella.
