How It Works

consultation-mapping

Step 1: Consultation and mapping

Your treatment begins with a thorough consultation, where your provider will walk you through your desired treatment areas and map out where the neuromodulators will be injected.

neuromodulor

Step 2: Neuromodulator injections

Small doses of neuromodulators are artfully injected into your desired treatment areas, based on your unique consultation and specific goals..

Step 3: Cleansing and post-care

Your skin is cleansed followed by the application of a recovery serum. Any small bumps should subside within 1 hour post-treatment.

Step 4: Enjoy the benefits

Fine lines and wrinkles: Beneath every wrinkle is a muscle nerve. Neuromodulators expertly injected into the end of the nerve temporarily block its impulses, allowing the facial muscles to relax, smoothing your overall appearance.

Facial contouring: When injected in specific regions of the face, you can experience more definition, leading to a more youthful appearance. Additionally, when the upper lip area is injected, the muscles that work to pull the top lip down will release, promoting the appearance of a more full lip—often called a “lip flip.”

Sweat reduction: When injected into the underarms, neuromodulators block the nerve signals that instruct sweat glands to become active, leading to a reduction in sweat production.

Frequently Asked
Questions

Botox & Wrinkle Relaxers

Botox®, Jeuveau™, and other wrinkle relaxers are all types of
neuromodulators. They have been used medically for years. They’re best for those looking to soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with zero downtime.

Results last for varied amounts of time depending on your specific treatment area and desired results. Overall, you can typically expect them to last about 3-4 months.

You may feel a mild pinch at the injection site.

There’s zero downtime for this treatment. You might have small red bumps at the injection site that are similar in appearance to bug bites. These will typically subside within 1 hour following the treatment session.

No, this treatment is not suitable for those currently pregnant or breastfeeding.

They are made up of microdoses of neuromodulators, or neurotoxins. Injecting them into specific muscle nerves temporarily blocks—or “freezes”—impulses, leading the muscles to relax.

This type of result is extremely rare. It occurs less than 0.1% of the time but is fortunately temporary and addressable if it does occur.

Experiencing a headache, minor bruising, or swelling at the injection site are the most commonly experienced side effects. These side effects are still rare and most people won’t experience these issues.

Wait to book if you have had other facial treatments within the past two weeks or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Following your session, you will need to follow a few instructions. First, avoid lying down for 4 hours following your treatment to prevent the neuromodulators and wrinkle relaxers from migrating. Second, avoid strenuous exercise and other activities that may make you sweat for 24 hours following the treatment. Third, avoid facials and facial massages—including devices you use at home—for 2 weeks after treatment.

Hyperhidrosis is a term used to describe excessive sweating that isn’t caused by physical activity or heat.
